France was written off, earlier on...they lacked support from their own team...
People chided me as they were all rooting for the mighty Germans....(Agreed it was unfortunate that Germans had to see an unpleasant ending..but the Italians were too good)....
But since round 16, the french have mighty well proved that they were not in by chance and they deserved to win....Like they say the end justifies the means....You cannot obviously dismiss the defeat against Brazil as pure luck...A team which had towering figures like Ronaldinho and kaka not to mention Mr. No.9..
Todays match looked like a local match...Portugal was nowhere close to fighting the french..France's coach, Raymond Domenech trusted the old dogs...Zidaine,Makele and it worked well with the young gunners like Thierry Henry...
